New Patients
Your first appointment will last for an hour and usually includes a treatment. We will take a detailed medical history, incorporating any past traumas or medical issues that may be relevant. To assess your condition, a physical examination will be conducted, this may include muscle and neurological testing and postural analysis (if required, gowns are always available).
So that a comprehensive assessment can be performed, please bring with you a list of all medications you are currently taking, as well as any relevant medical records, X-rays and results of scans. At the end of this consultation and testing, we will then explain the results and make sure all your questions are answered. We will discuss with you your Care Plan, this is based on your presenting condition, lifestyle factors and your own desired recovery goals. The Care Plan, will be completely tailored to your needs and lifestyle, we will advise you on how many treatments you are likely to require bearing in mind that everybody has a unique response to treatment. Through our own experience we appreciate how pain can affect you on a physical, mental and emotional level. This is considered and incorporated into The Care Plan to enhance your healing process. We want all our clients to feel fully comfortable with treatment, diagnosis and aftercare so accompanying friends or partners are welcome during the appointments.
During this initial consultation we try to incorporate a treatment, however in rare circumstances for client’s with more complex cases, this may not be possible. Further investigative work or scans may be required to assess the condition fully before commencing treatment.
Following your treatment, you will be advised what to expect over the next 24-48 hours and you may also be prescribed exercises, stretches or given other homecare advice to help resolve your condition as quickly as possible.
Second appointment and continuing care
All follow up appointments are 30 minutes. When you return for your next appointment we will discuss how you have felt and responded to the previous treatment and then treat accordingly.
The duration of the Care Plan will be based upon how you respond to the treatments and the discussed treatment goals. It is our aim to work with you to get you back to your pain free lifestyle as soon as possible.
In an attempt to empower our clients, we do not usually offer maintenance Care Plans, however, some clients do prefer to receive regular treatments as they feel the benefit of this, but the choice is yours.
Pricing Information
• Initial Consultation: £60: 60 minutes
• Follow-ups: £50: 30 minutes
In some instances, concessions may be available, these include if you are unwaged, a single parent, a pensioner or a member of the armed forces. If you are in need, please feel free to discuss this in confidence with Kevin.
Please note that we require 24 hours’ notice of cancellation. Missed appointments or late cancellations will be charged at the Chiropractor’s discretion.
